Saskatchewan Health Regions 

Athabasca Health Authority


Athabasca Health Authority is located in northern Saskatchewan, and provides health care services to five main communities in the north: Black Lake, Campsell Portage, Fond Du Lac, Stony Rapids, and Uranium City. The Athabasca Health Authority has a relatively small population, which is spread over a large geographical area.
 


Cypress Health Region

With its approximately 1,700 staff, the Cypress Regional Health Authority is responsible for the planning, organization, delivery, and evaluation of a wide variety of facility-based and community-based programs and services within its boundaries.

Situated in the southwest corner of Saskatchewan, the Cypress Health Region encompasses a truly unique region of the province, inlcuding the Cypress Hills, The Great Sand hills, Grasslands National Park and Landing Provincial Park, which offers ample opportunity for boating and fishing.


Heartland Health Region




Welcome to the Heartland Health Region! We are located in west-central Saskatchewan. In order to provide the best health care possible to our residents, we strive to attract the best of the best. Our current team consists of 1,689 health care professionals and 29 physicians providing a full range of health care services to a population of 44,429 over an area of 41,770 square kilometers. Heartland is home to some of the friendliest people in Saskatchewan residing in 67 towns and villages and 18 Hutterite Colonies.


Keewatin Yatthé Regional Health Authority



The Keewatin Yatthé Regional Health Authority is located in Northwest Saskatchewan which encompasses approximately 1/4 of the province.

The Keewatin Yatthé Health Region administers a comprehensive and much needed health care delivery system for numerous northern villages and towns.


Kelsey Trail Health Region

Kelsey Trail Health Region was formed on August 1, 2002 as the result of the transition of the North Central, North-East, and Pasquia Health Districts. The region encompasses a large geographic area of approximately 47,397 square kilometers, and stretches from Cumberland House in the northeast to Smeaton on the northwest and from St. Brieux in the southwest to Kelvington in the southeast.


Mamawetan Churchill River Health Region

The Mamawetan Churchill River Health Region provides service to over 21,000 residents in the north-east area of Saskatchewan. We celebrate the rich northern heritage of the communities located among the lakes, rivers and forests of the Pre Cambrian Shield. Diversity is our strength and we have engaged in many partnerships to realize our mission of working together in wellness to promote, enhance and maintain quality of life.


Prairie North Health Region



Prairie North Health Region provides a coordinated network of health services to over 71,116 residents. Services are delivered to a diverse population including urban, rural, and First Nations.

Prince Albert Parkland Health Region

The Prince Albert Parkland Health Region offers excellent opportunities for fulfilling careers while providing an exceptional quality of life. The Region is home to about 78,000 residents, about 41,000 live within the city of Prince Albert, and 95 per cent of residents are within 30 minutes of a hospital or long term care facility.

Regina Qu'Appelle Health Region

The Regina Qu'Appelle Health Region (RQHR) is the largest health care delivery system in southern Saskatchewan, and one of the most integrated health delivery agencies in the country. RQHR offers a full range of hospital, rehabilitation, community and public health, long term care, and home care services to meet the needs of more than 245,000 residents living in 120 cities, towns, villages, rural municipalities, and First Nation communities within the Region. The Region employs, directly and indirectly, approximately 9,000 employees and about 55 physicians.

Saskatoon Health Region

Saskatoon Health Region has a proud story to tell. We are the largest health region in the province, providing services to almost 300,000 local residents in over 100 cities, towns, rural municipalities and First Nations communities, plus thousands of others from across the province who come to Saskatoon for specialized health services. As an academic health sciences centre, Saskatoon Health Region provides learning opportunities to future health care providers in partnership with the University of Saskatchewan, and participates in research that will build knowledge and improve care.

Sun Country Health Region

Sun Country Health Region covers the southeast portion of Saskatchewan from the Manitoba border to the U.S. border,encompassing pure prairie and lush park land. Sun Country Regional Health Authority (SCRHA) operates 28 facilities and 17 public health programs for the 55,000 people in the region, with the mandate to help build a province of healthy people and communities while providing an effective, comprehensive and equitable range of services.

Sunrise Health Region

Sunrise Health Region stretches from the breathtaking beauty of the Qu'Appelle Valley to the northern boreal forest, and from the bountiful parklands of the Manitoba border into the rich Saskatchewan prairie farmlands. Sunrise serves 58,000 persons - two-thirds living in our comfortable, warm, friendly cities, towns and villages, and 1,600 living on our historic First Nations. Sunrise employs more than 2,600 professional and support staff to ensure the delivery of quality care throughout the region.
